We woke before the sun, and started up one of my favorite trails, watching the light slowly seep into the forest. An hour later, were were at the top, and the scene was absolutely magical. The lake was perfectly still, and it felt as thought the light would do whatever I asked. We all know this could never be, but if I could have a special power, I would wish to lasso and move the sun, the way I would a giant soft-box on wheels. But, until then, I will just have to get up early and find my way until the light is ever so perfect to photograph the world. My body and mind had zero qualms with this trek. My body felt rather invigorated actually, I think this will be a thing that happens more often.
